Evolution over time

The history of Fuji industrial Tools began in 1943 as Fuji Kogyosho, founded in Minato Ward, Osaka. Since then, the company has been providing tools and solutions to Japan and the rest of the world that are used in all manufacturing industries, including railways, shipbuilding, automobiles, heavy and construction machinery, electrical machinery, energy, steelmaking and foundries, and support manufacturing around the world.

1943

Establishment

Founded as Fuji Kogyosho in Minato-ku, Osaka.

1948

Name change

The company name is changed to its current name, Fuji industrial Tools Co.

1961

Head office and factory relocated

Due to business expansion, the head office and factory are relocated to the present location (Higashinari-ku, Osaka).

1962

Grinder patented worldwide.

Grinder speed control mechanism patented worldwide. This is where the 'grinder Fuji' begins.

1969

Sales of the FCH-19 series of pneumatic tugs.

Contributes to improved efficiency in stone processing. Later popularised by the shipbuilding industry, it has grown into a long-selling product.

1982

Beveling machine 'FBM series' goes on sale.

Expand sales channels to the energy industry. Many companies are still installing the system.

1993

50th Anniversary

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the company's foundation, a corporate identity (CI) was introduced and the logo was redesigned.

1996, 1998

ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 international certification

First in the industry to be certified to ISO 9001 quality management system and ISO 14001 environmental management system.

2006

Becoming part of the Atlas Copco Group

To take it to the next level, he joined the Atlas Copco Group, a global industrial machinery company based in Sweden.

2007

Chicago Pneumatic and Desorter products are now available in Japan.

Chicago Pneumatic, which specialises in power tools used in the construction and vehicle maintenance industries, and Desorter products, which specialises in intelligent assembly solutions for the aerospace industry and the automotive, construction machinery and heavy equipment industries.

2018

Showroom opened following the relocation of the Nagoya sales office.

A second showroom is opened at the Nagoya sales office, following the Osaka head office.

2022

Smart Portal, an online product purchase site for distributors, is launched.

As part of the digitalisation drive, in addition to product information, prices and stock levels can be checked and orders can be placed at any time.

Fuji industrial Tools today

With 83 employees (as of May 2024) and six bases in Japan (Osaka head office, North Kanto, Tokyo metropolitan area, Nagoya, Hiroshima and Kyushu), Fuji industrial Tools has established close relationships with customers in more than 50 countries and regions worldwide, providing tools and solutions to help manufacturers improve safety and productivity.
